Job Overview

The Administrative Specialist assists the  Senior Director of Logistics and the department in all administrative functions. This individual is responsible for creating, maintaining, and analyzing a variety of company reports, coordinating and facilitating meetings and managing special projects. 

Highlights of your role

  • Provide comprehensive administrative and project support to the Senior Director of Logistics
  • Provide cross-functional administrative support to the logistics department as needed to ensure operational efficiency and timely execution of initiatives.
  • Facilitate generation of the month scorecards, weekly status reports and planning documents.
  • Assist in preparing annual and long-range strategic business plans.
  • Provide departmental reception services
  • Attend staff meetings to record minutes and complete other assigned tasks.
  • Communicate well and develop solid relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Maintain excellent organization skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to organize communication and inform the Senior Director of Logistics of items requiring immediate attention.
  • Manage the Senior Director of Logistics’ daily schedule including appointments, messages, visitors, mail, meetings, notes, tasks and travel.
  • Assemble and analyze company data.
  • Other duties as assigned.

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Demonstrated effective leadership and communication skills
  • Requires extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, the ability to learn manufacturing software (ICIM) and ability to produce professional letters and business correspondence.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work as necessary.
