Job Overview

Support the key fundamentals of manufacturing; Safety, Quality, Productivity and Cost Reduction initiatives through process development, process improvement projects and providing leadership and direction to the engineering department by mentoring and supervision. Projects are driven by process improvement, operations capital investment plan, overall ROI, product development initiatives and the operations business plan.

 

Highlights of your role

  • Supervise the Engineers within the Process Support Group Department.
  • Holds high expectations of direct reports to promote great teamwork, positive attitude, and ensure they can thrive in a fast paced environment.
  • Manages employee's day to day performance and development opportunities.
  • Resolves employee issues as they occur and administers fair and consistent discipline.
  • Practices and creates a positive culture, making Marvin a great place to work.
  • Conducts department performance reviews, including appraisals and disciplines, by providing formative feedback.
  • Identify, coordinate and drive continuous improvement activities within production and business processes.
  • Develop and coach others on lean concepts throughout the organization.
  • Serve as Process Lead in PPT/IPT projects.
  • Works on major projects and initiatives in broad areas of assignments and fields.
  • Research new manufacturing technologies and techniques.

 

Also want to make sure you have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
  • Strong written and oral communication are required.
  • A minimum of five years experience in a manufacturing setting is ideal.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) is required.
  • Demonstrated, strong project management skills required.
  • Excellent self direction and time management.
