Roanoke Marvin is looking for a Quality Tech on 1st Shift. Step into a role where your attention to detail and problem‑solving skills directly shape the quality of every product we deliver. As a Quality Technician, you’ll be at the heart of our production process—making sure our teams follow quality standards, spotting issues before they become problems, and helping drive continuous improvement on the line.
You’ll take ownership of hands‑on testing and inspection throughout manufacturing, ensuring every product meets the high standards our customers expect. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast‑paced environment, likes working with both people and processes, and wants to make a real impact on product excellence.
• Ensure products meet all quality standards by inspecting materials, performing tests and measurements, monitoring production operations, and rejecting items that do not meet specifications.
• Troubleshoot quality issues on the assembly line, analyze blueprints and technical data, and recommend or implement corrective actions to maintain process accuracy.
• Conduct gage calibrations, incoming inspections, and line audits while maintaining accurate documentation, analyzing data, and communicating production problems to supervisors.
• Support continuous improvement by assisting with quality training, collaborating with production teams on inspection results, and performing additional duties that contribute to overall operational success; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Teams, and Excel required.
• High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree or technical school background and 1–2 years of quality‑related experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of metrology practices, the ability to read and interpret drawings/specifications, and proficiency with measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, pin gages, feeler gages, tape measures, linear devices, and optical comparators.
• Skilled in compiling and interpreting run charts, applying shop math, and using critical thinking, problem‑solving, communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills in a production environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Teams, and Excel, with the ability to analyze data and apply quality system practices effectively
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each major job function and duty satisfactorily. This position is responsible for leading, directing, and motivating the production lines to develop products of the highest quality. This individual is required to possess strong communication skills, intermediate mathematical skills, team working skills, and the ability to self-motivate and supervise others.
