In this role, you’ll enhance compliance systems, guide site‑wide safety practices, and contribute to our goal of maintaining an OSHA rate 50% below the industry average. The work offers continuous opportunities to solve problems, refine processes, and influence meaningful improvements. Primary support will be for the Reno location, with occasional assistance to other distribution centers.

Highlights of your role

  • Maintain and improve written safety programs, training, and reporting to support OSHA compliance and VPP certification or recertification.
  • Lead or support incident investigations, analyze safety data trends, and recommend improvements that strengthen site performance.
  • Coordinate required safety inspections, audits, and compliance documentation for equipment, systems, and vendor-supported services.
  • Support environmental compliance activities, including data collection, reporting, corrective actions, and review of new product requests.

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)

  • Foundational knowledge or experience in environmental or safety functions within a manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environment.
  • Ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements related to OSHA, EPA, or state-level safety and environmental standards.

  • Working proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new digital tools or proprietary software.

Also want to make sure you have

  • Preferred certifications such as 30‑hour OSHA training, 40‑hour HAZWOPER, First Aid/CPR/AED, or train‑the‑trainer for forklift or bloodborne pathogens.
  • Previous experience participating in or supporting compliance programs like VPP, ISO 14001, or environmental regulatory reporting.
  • Familiarity with transportation safety or yard/driver support activities is helpful.
