The Senior Microsoft 365 Global Administrator is a senior-level role responsible for driving and managing the operational excellence of the Microsoft 365 suite across the enterprise. This role is pivotal in ensuring secure, compliant, and scalable collaboration, across all core M365 applications (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform, Copilot, etc.). The ideal candidate will partner closely with security, infrastructure, and Azure teams—leveraging their own experience in these domains to enhance partnership—while leading initiatives and translating business needs into technical solutions.

Highlights of your role

  • Architect, configure, and maintain Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Entra ID, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Copilot, and the Power Platform.
  • Lead tenant-level configurations, hybrid integrations, and licensing strategies.
  • Partner with business and technology teams to assess and determine Microsoft license requirements, reserve licenses, and facilitate the true-up and Enterprise Agreement processes.
  • Partner with our security team to administer Microsoft Purview, ensuring robust compliance, data governance, and privacy controls across the M365 environment.
  • Monitor system health, usage metrics, and compliance dashboards using PowerShell, Graph API, and the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
  • Develop and enforce governance standards, documentation, and disaster recovery procedures for the M365 environment.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations, conducting regular audits and security reviews.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business requirements and align technical strategies with organizational objectives.
  • Architect, design, and deliver comprehensive solutions utilizing the Microsoft technology stack to address and advance business goals.
  • Act as a technical escalation point for complex issues and lead knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Optimize system performance and ensure seamless integration with existing IT infrastructure.
  • Create and maintain documentation for day-to-day administration, change management, and training/reference materials.

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)

  • 10+ years of hands-on administration experience with Microsoft 365 in enterprise environments.
  • Deep expertise in Exchange Online, Entra ID, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform, and Purview administration.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills; experience with Graph API.
  • Experience with hybrid Active Directory environments and M365.
  • Proven success in leading modernization initiatives and driving business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and drive initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.
  • Strong understanding of Azure cloud architecture, security services, and data governance.
