Job Overview

The Groundskeeper is responsible for the cultivation and care of the landscaping and grounds surrounding the building, along with general janitorial and facility maintenance duties as assigned. In addition, the Groundskeeper will assist the Tool Cage Controller as needed in maintaining an adequate inventory for all production machine parts, building supplies, production line tools and may assist in picking up emergency supplies as needed.

 

 

Highlights of your role

  • Clean grounds and remove litter.
  • Ensure public passageways are free of snow and ice.
  • Maintain lawns and landscapes around the Marvin property.
  • Responsible for regulatory conformance with waste management and cleanliness of chemical storage room.
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM’s) and inspections assigned through EAM including outside fire system control valves, and performs weekly and monthly fire system inspections, eye wash stations and fire extinguishers. In addition, perform the assigned Environmental Compliance Inspections, such as Chemicals Waste Storage, Stormwater No Exposure.
  • Keep the dock doors and locks clear and free of ice buildup and trash.
  • Responsible for parking lot maintenance including painting designated parking lines and sign maintenance.
  • Responsible to handle/label/coordinate/dispose of all waste streams (such as batteries, used lamps, paint barrels, silicone barrels and outside dumpsters).
  • Perform spill response procedures and ensure proper clean up and disposal processes of the spilled material are executed.
  • Assist with printing and posting of proper Safety labels on the new products received in the tool cage and waste containers.
  • Utilize Enterprise Asset Mgmt software EAM (7i) and ICIM to assist the Tool Cage Controller in maintaining adequate inventory for all production machine parts, building supplies, production line tools, and will pick up emergency supplies when needed.
  • Maintain order, cleanliness, and accuracy of the maintenance replacement part warehouse “cage” and hazardous material room.
  • Ensure availability, accuracy, and timelines of any applicable replacement part orders.
  • Other duties as assigned.

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • One year certificate from college or technical school or three to six month related experience and/or training preferred
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of manufacturing software (ICIM), Enterprise Asset Management software (7i), the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
  • Additional job-related training will be provided for handling wastes.
