Job Overview

The Fabrication Assistant Supervisor supports the Production Supervisor in managing daily operations and leading the department to achieve production, quality, and safety goals. This role ensures continuity of leadership during the Supervisor’s absence and contributes to team development, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives. 

 

Work Schedule:

Monday - Thursday

  • 4:00pm - 2:00am

*This position will train DAYS Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 4:00pm for an extended amount of time before transitioning into an evening shift. 

Highlights of your role

  • Coach and train team members on processes, safety standards, and best practices. 

  • Provide input on performance reviews and corrective actions. 

  • Support onboarding and cross-training to build workforce flexibility. 

  • Foster a positive, inclusive culture that promotes engagement and teamwork. 

  • Communicate operational updates to team members and Supervisor. 

  • Monitor daily shift activities and adjust labor allocation to meet production goals. 

  • Track attendance and address minor attendance issues promptly. 

  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards; report concerns and assist in investigations. 

  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for shift activities. 

  • Identify and help resolve quality and productivity issues through root cause analysis. 

  • Collaborate with support departments to remove barriers and achieve goals. 

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)

  • 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment 

  • Prior leadership or team lead experience 

  • Safety and quality systems training (e.g., OSHA basics, Lean principles) 

  • Leadership development or coaching skills 

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have ability to use Microsoft Office Suite  

  • Must have a strong ability to multi task and prioritize daily responsibilities
