Job Overview

The Production Supervisor provides leadership and direction for their assigned department, ensuring operational excellence through safety, quality, and productivity. They are accountable for building high-performing teams by hiring, developing, and motivating employees while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Work Schedule:

Monday - Thursday

  • 4:00pm - 2:00am

*This position will train DAYS Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 4:00pm for an extended amount of time before transitioning into an evening shift. 

Highlights of your role

  • Hire, train, and develop team members to build a strong talent pipeline. 

  • Mentor Assistant Supervisors and prepare them for roles of increased responsibility. 

  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and administer corrective actions fairly and consistently. 

  • Foster a positive, inclusive culture that promotes engagement and reduces turnover. 

  • Address employee concerns promptly and maintain open communication. 

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. 

  • Monitor daily operations to achieve production, quality, and safety goals. 

  • Oversee cross-training and line balancing to optimize workforce flexibility. 

  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for department activities. 
  • Lead problem-solving efforts for escalated issues and remove barriers to success. 

  • Drive strategic planning and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency. 

  • Investigate quality concerns, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. 

  • Collaborate across departments to align resources and achieve company objectives. 

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)

  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment. 
  • 1–2 years in a leadership or supervisory role. 
  • Experience with continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analysis. 
  • Proven track record of meeting production, quality, and safety goals. 
  • Exposure to cross-functional collaboration and employee development. 
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
