Job Overview

Marvin Roanoke is looking for a quality manager. This position is responsible for the overall direction and coordination of the quality programs while providing strategic leadership for the processes of improving product quality produced within the facility. This position will lead the business unit effort in pursuit of the goal, “promoting quality” as a core value; while serving as the primary resource to drive continuous improvements into quality programs/systems and minimizing the potential negative financial and customer impacts of reduced quality. The quality manager is responsible for developing measures and objectives that support the quality’s vision. This position is accountable for establishing an annual strategic plan aligned with the business focus as well as a long term strategic plan for the Quality Department. This includes monitoring the progress in achieving the vision and reporting the progress of goals to the organization.  This position is also required to develop opportunities with institutions to increase the organizations competencies. Another large role this position entails is the constant management to improve the product, or “Continuous Improvement” to promote the quality and excellence of our products.

Highlights of your role

  • Develop, direct, assist, plan, and support quality programs and policies while providing leadership and direction to management and supervisors when dealing with proposed projects and ideas
  • Responsible for directing quality department in accordance to quality objectives
  • Responsible for make key decisions on quality objectives based on measures
  • Administer budget proposals and prepare department goals and priorities during the budget process
  • Direct investigations of customer complaints. Implement, manage, and coordinate Quality Management System (QMS
  • Define and execute annual strategic plans directed at meeting the site’s commitment to improving its quality performance. Continuously monitor and adjust planned actions to close any gaps in quality performance.
  • Define and conduct frequent reviews of the site’s quality performance with site Leadership, Line Supervisors and Associates. Define in a manner appropriate to the audience key actions underway to close any gaps.
  • Create and maintain a work environment that promotes success and surpasses company goals

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)

  • Required Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college/university in a technical field or business
  • Supervisory experience preferred, and at least three to five years’ experience in quality management or quality engineering preferred
  • Statistics courses are beneficial
  • Extensive knowledge/experience in quality process and program
  • Development and training experience is preferred
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Required Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have an advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office, (Word, Outlook, Access, and Excel), AutoCAD, and MS Project
