Job Overview

Are you ready to take the wheel and steer your career in the right direction? The Marvin Home Center is seeking a Lumber Yard Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you'll ensure accuracy and efficiency in loading and unloading of all lumberyard related transactions. You'll also maintain the appearance of the yard and racks in an orderly and clean manner.

Schedule:

  • Monday–Friday, varied hours with rotating weekend work required 

Highlights of your role

  • Load and unload all lumberyard items in an accurate, efficient, and safe manner 

  • Partner with receiving and shipping teams to meet delivery schedules and maintain accurate yard checks. 

  • Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service and assist with product questions. 

  • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and appearance of the yard and racks. 

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)

  • Physical ability to occasionally lift 100 pounds 

  • Ability to pass a physical assessment for very heavy lifting level 

  • Basic knowledge of building materials and construction practices. 

  • Proven customer service and/or lumberyard experience 

Also want to make sure you have

  • Ability to work successfully both independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Strong communication and customer service skills to represent Marvin professionally. 

  • Ability to use computers and point-of-sale systems.
