Job Overview

The Senior Indirect Procurement Commodity Agent plays a strategic leadership role in managing sourcing initiatives for non-production goods and services across the enterprise. This includes categories such as IT, facilities, MRO, professional services, and logistics. The role is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating complex contracts, and delivering cost-effective, high-quality service outcomes. This senior-level position partners closely with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business objectives and drive enterprise-wide value.

Highlights of your role

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders (e.g., IT, HR, Facilities, Finance, Legal) to understand purchasing requirements and align sourcing initiatives with strategic goals.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for indirect spend categories to optimize cost, service, and risk.
  • Drive strategic sourcing initiatives, including RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs, to identify and select best-in-class suppliers.
  • Negotiate and execute complex contractual agreements to meet service specifications and business objectives.
  • Analyze enterprise spend data and market trends to identify savings opportunities and develop actionable plans.
  • Maintain accurate supplier and contract data in sourcing and ERP systems.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, legal requirements, and ethical sourcing standards.
  • Provide executive-level reporting on category performance, savings, and strategic initiatives.
  • Champion enterprise initiatives such as sustainability, supplier diversity, and risk mitigation.

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)

  • 7–10+ years of progressive experience in sourcing or procurement, with a strong focus on indirect spend.
  • Proven ability to lead strategic sourcing initiatives and manage complex supplier relationships.
  • Advanced negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and sourcing tools.

Also want to make sure you have

  • Experience in a senior procurement role within a multi-site or global organization.
  • Strong understanding of contract law, service level agreements, and vendor risk management.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CSCP, PMP) are highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to travel occasionally as needed.
