Job Overview

Marvin Roanoke is looking for a 3rd Shift Production Manager to join the team. The 3rd Shift Manager will be responsible for successfully providing leadership and direction to the production departments to ensure the company’s Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) are met in relation to Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Delivery. The Shift Manager will also be responsible for coaching and mentoring different levels of production leadership to empower, encourage, and inspire.

Highlights of your role

  • Provide direction and leadership for Supervisors and employees on the 3rd Shift.
  • Evaluate performance of Supervisors and give direction as needed for improvement of performance compared to company KPI’s and budget.
  • Continually improve line flow and flexibility to produce product in the most cost-effective manner to meet customer delivery expectations. Use of daily schedules and planning tools is expected.
  • Coach, monitor, and reinforce leadership development and training of team members. Encourage use of company values and lean manufacturing practices to drive improvement.
  • Responsible for monitoring and improving safety, quality, and productivity. Monthly KPI’s will be reviewed and discussed.

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)

  • 5+ years of Manufacturing Management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field(s) preferred.
  • Previous experience with lean manufacturing principles.
  • Strong Leadership Competencies including relationship building, alignment, development of others, strategic thinking, and results-oriented mindset.
