Job Overview

The Director of Corporate Employee Experience is a new position that plays a pivotal role in shaping a high-touch, personalized employee experience, especially for leadership and critical talent in rural markets. This role blends strategic talent support with concierge-level onboarding and community integration, ensuring that new and existing employees are not only welcomed into the company but also into the surrounding community. The ideal candidate is passionate about people, understands the unique challenges of rural talent integration, and thrives in creating meaningful, localized experiences that drive retention and engagement for new employees and their families. In addition to connection with candidates and employees, this leader will actively engage with the local community to develop new business opportunities and services that support the company's growth and ability to attract great talent from anywhere. 

Highlights of your role

  • Rural Talent Integration Strategy: Lead talent sourcing efforts for Warroad, MN and other rural locations, identifying unique regional opportunities and challenges. Develop and execute targeted marketing initiatives, and community partnerships to attract and retain top talent in these areas. 

  • Concierge-Level Onboarding & Integration: Team will serve as a dedicated concierge resource for new hires and employee transfers, particularly at the leadership level, providing personalized onboarding, cultural orientation, and strategic introductions to accelerate integration and impact. 

  • Community Assimilation & Support: Design and lead programs that help employees and their families assimilate into rural communities, including housing support, school introductions, spousal employment resources, and local networking opportunities. 

  • Build connections within the local community to support, influence and partner on new initiatives that create opportunities for new businesses to engage new or transferred employees and their families in providing necessary and unique services. 

  • Candidate + New Hire Experience: Collaborate closely with Talent Acquisition to drive a highly engaging candidate journey, from awareness, to interest, to conversion. With a deep understanding of Warroad and the community, this person will also help define and execute strategies that support employee and family integration. 

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Talent Acquisition, Facilities, Communications, and local community leaders to ensure a seamless and supportive experience for employees relocating or working in rural areas. This includes developing and executing strategies unique to Warroad, with a focus on driving growth. 

  • Retention & Engagement: Monitor engagement and retention metrics in rural markets, using data to inform strategies and interventions that support long-term employee satisfaction. 

  • People Analytics: Use data and insights to measure the impact of employee experience initiatives and inform decision-making. 

Compensation

$143,000 - $192,000 annually. Plus incentive opportunity

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field. 

  • Proven experience in leadership, sales, customer service, talent acquisition, relocation, or similar roles. 

  • Community Service leadership 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail. 

  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration abilities 

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. 

Also want to make sure you have

  • Experience working in or supporting rural communities. 

  • Familiarity with relocation services, community development, or economic development initiatives. 

  • Proficiency in people strategies, building relationships with potential partners and positively influencing the community  

  • Customer service excellence. 

  • Problem-solving and multitasking. 

  • Knowledge of local community resources and amenities. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
