Sitting within the Marvin Creative Studio, a Photo + Video Producer is responsible for helping to co-create compelling still, film and motion content—all in a tone that supports the brand’s premium positioning. As part of a passionate team, the Photo + Video Producer will work alongside other dedicated team members, including the Senior Photo + Video Producer, Videographers, Photographers, Copywriters, Designers, Art Directors, Content Strategists, and Creative Leads. This work will help elevate our presence and positioning in the market, reinforce Marvin as the right source for innovative solutions among key trade audiences, and continue to build our 100+ year history in the market. Highlights of your role

  • Co-create compelling still, film, and motion content with fellow members of the Marvin Creative Studio (videographers, photographers, art directors, designers, copywriters and creative leads) digital for use in paid, owned and internal channels. 

  • Produce small- and medium-scale external and internal photo and video shoots, both locally and on-location by coordinating, owning and confirming all details of a photo shoot: studio, locations, talent, crew, equipment, production schedule, etc. for flawless, on-time production for clients across the enterprise.  

  • Support the Senior Photo + Video producer on large-scale productions as needed. 

  • Lead pre-production process on small- (i.e. internal update videos) and medium-scale (i.e., social content), including story mining sessions and project socialization with the broader internal team, owning all details of the production schedule to ensure smooth and efficient shoots, often times with the need for both motion and still captures. 

  • Manage post-production process on small- and medium-scale production, including post-project socialization and creative reviews to ensure projects are delivered on-time and as requested.  

  • Develop and maintain each production budget from start to finish – planning, reconciling jobs and providing estimates to partners for off-site work (such as voiceover, music or translation services, etc.). 

  • Book additional crew members/support as needed, including casting and booking talent, managing releases, negotiating usage and rates to maximize efficiency.  

  • Be aware of photo and video trends; provide inspiration and ideas that push “what’s always been done” to internal clients and photo/video team.  

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Studio team members to optimize the work and minimize brand risk.  

Compensation

$65,000 - $80,000 annually

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)

  • Understanding of photography and videography shoot processes, including pre- and post-production.  

  • Excellent time management and organization. 

  • Proficient at multitasking with great attention to detail.  

  • Exceptional communicator able to counsel team members throughout the organization on the photography and videography process.  

  • Technically savvy, understanding photography and videography file types and basic knowledge of editing software; Ability to operate in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) is a plus.  

  • Operating knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects preferred.  

  • Embraces feedback and can quickly work to optimize and give options to meet desired goals. 

  • An energetic team player and driven self-starter, with a positive mindset and excellent work ethic. 

  • Ability to travel to Warroad at least one day a week on an up-and-back shuttle flight. 

  • Ability to travel for shoots approx. 50% of the year. 

Also want to make sure you have

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or ad or art school credentials; or equivalent industry experience 

  • 3+ years of experience in an agency or corporate setting as a motion and still producer
