The Logistics Engineer-II supports the key fundamentals of Logistics; Safety, Quality, Productivity and Cost Reduction initiatives through process development and process improvement projects. Projects are driven by process improvement, operations capital investment plan, overall ROI, initiatives and the operations business plan.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement activities within Logistics, production, and business processes.
• Develop processes related to Logistics, standard work and create and maintain process documentation.
• Collaborates with cross functional teams to enhance strategic Logistics processes.
• mentor a small team of logistics professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Oversee Logistics projects from inception to completion
• Utilize advanced analytics and modeling techniques to predict trends, optimize logistics processes, and drive data-driven decision-making.
• Actively deploy lean concepts throughout the organization.
• Support Process Lead in PPT/IPT projects.
• Conduct extensive data analysis for effective problem solving.
• Assist in analyzing, identifying, and resolving problems related to logistics and lead problem solving groups.
• Develop and maintain Distribution Center layouts and fixtures.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required
• 2-4 years of Engineering experience required
• 2D and 3D modeling knowledge required
• Experience leading teams preferred
• Demonstrated, strong written and oral communication required
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required
