Job Overview

The Environmental Compliance Intern assists the Enterprise Environmental Compliance Manager with maintaining local, state and federal environmental compliance across 5 manufacturing facilities, Distribution Center, and Research & Development Center, including data collection and analysis, record retention and training. Assist with Marvin Environmental Compliance programs including Air, Waste, Water and Chemical Management. Partner with plant Health and Safety team on cross-functional projects. This position is primarily an office environment with frequent tasks on the plant floor.

Highlights of your role

  • DOCUMENTATION – Maintain and file environmental reports, inspections, and regulatory documents to ensure accuracy and completeness for compliance. Working with EHS Specialists and EHS Coordinators, along with other key leadership roles to ensure compliance across all departments within the plant.
  • DATA COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS – Conduct and assist with plant environmental inspections, collecting and recording necessary data in software systems. Complete necessary calculations and analysis for Annual Federal reporting. Support plant waste and recycling programs through data collection, analysis, providing recommendations to include financial impacts for improvement and best practices to the Environmental Compliance Manager.
  • PROJECTS – Environmental projects and special projects as assigned.
  • ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITTEE – Help to facilitate monthly inspections, record keeping and assisting with communication to leadership and identifying training opportunities ad closing actions from monthly inspections.
  • Other duties as assigned

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Natural Resources or similar field required
  • Excellent technology skills, specifically in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills required
  • Attention to detail and ability to partner across the organization.
