The Marvin Home Center Office Manager will provide guidance to office staff and cashiers, as well as ensuring accuracy of inventory and accounting functions.

Highlights of your role

  • Provide guidance and work direction to Office Specialist and others reporting to you
  • Have experience with bookkeeping or accounting practices
  • Onboard and train new cashiers
  • Ensure accuracy of inventory reports, payments, sales, and general ledger
  • Responsible for daily bank deposits: includes cash register/transaction balancing of tills
  • Credit card transaction control/updating
  • Prepare reports for store management and the corporate accounting dept.
  • Interact with store management in designing policies for collection of debt and credit limits for customers
  • Ensure all payments for accounts are posted properly as payments are made and factoring interest on extended accounts past term
  • Collect account applications, create and manage business and project accounts.
  • Assist customers with reward program.
  • Assist customers with financing options through Service Finance. Manage transactions once financing is approved.
  • Manage the marketing budget and communicate with outside marketing entities.
  • Create on brand content for the store while managing the stores website, social media, and display sign.
  • Plan and execute store events.
  • Assist with monthly donation efforts.
  • Maintain office supplies, equipment and filing systems for records
  • Ability to troubleshoot computer issues and work with IT helpdesks

Compensation

$55,300 - $73,700 annually

  • Experience with Epicor systems
  • Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work within moving deadlines
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Good problem analysis, assessment and communication skills
  • Appropriate accounting knowledge
  • Able to perform well under pressure
  • Excellent customer care presence
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent time management and keen attention to detail
