Job Overview

The Senior Manager of Sales Operations Strategy will partner with Digital Product & Engineering to drive integration and implementation of new technologies and innovative strategies aimed at enhancing Marvin's sales processes and performance. This role blends sales leadership with a technological aptitude to optimize sales teams’ effectiveness through adoption, increase productivity, and drive revenue growth.

Highlights of your role

Technology Integration: Build a strong partnership with Digital Product & Engineering to research, evaluate, and help business partners implement new sales technologies, such as CRM systems, automation tools, analytics platforms, and AI-driven solutions. Ensure that sales teams have the right tools and resources to perform at their best, from lead generation to closing deals.  Promoting the full adoption of technology and supporting process changes.

 

Process Improvement: Analyze existing sales processes to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies. Implement automation and other tech-driven solutions to streamline workflows, reduce manual tasks, and enhance sales effectiveness.

 

Data Analytics: Utilize data to track sales performance, forecast trends, and identify areas for improvement. Develop metrics and KPIs to measure the success of sales innovations and technology implementations.

 

Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with the Director of Sales Operations and other senior leadership to define sales goals and objectives, aligning them with Marvin's product offerings and market positioning. Identify opportunities for innovation within the sales process, using technology to improve efficiency and performance.

 

Forecasting Improvement: Leverage advanced analytics and machine learning algorithms to improve the accuracy of sales forecasts. Utilize historical data and market trends to predict future sales performance, helping the sales team to make          informed decisions. Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership on potential market opportunities and risks, ensuring that sales strategies are proactive, and data driven.

Sales Coverage Models and Analysis: Develop and optimize sales coverage models to ensure that Marvin's sales efforts are aligned with market opportunities and customer needs. Analyze the efficiency and effectiveness of different coverage models, such as geographic territories, industry verticals, or account-based strategies. Use data-driven insights to adjust coverage plans, ensuring that sales resources are deployed in a manner maximizing revenue potential and customer satisfaction.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Work closely with other departments (such as IT, Digital, Marketing and product) to ensure seamless integration of sales technologies across the organization. Act as a liaison between sales teams and IT departments to troubleshoot issues and improve the user experience with sales tools. Articulating and translating sales strategy and process evolutions into technology “areas of need”

 

Compensation

$130,500 - $174,000

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)

Sales Expertise: A deep understanding of sales processes and the challenges sales teams face, particularly in a business-to-business environment.

 

5 Years: Knowledge of CRM software (preferably Salesforce), sales automation tools, data analytics platforms, and emerging technologies such as AI or machine learning.

 

Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects, often involving cross-functional teams.

 

Data-Driven: Strong analytical skills to measure and optimize sales strategies.

 

Leadership: Experience managing teams, collaborating across departments, and driving change within a business-to-business sales environment.
