Job Overview

Marvin, a premier window and door manufacturer in North America, is launching a new product to be produced in our brand-new facility in Kansas City, KS. We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team supporting this launch.  

 

In this role, you'll drive sales growth for a new product by building strong customer relationships and developing in-depth market intelligence. You'll coordinate efforts with the marketing and sales teams to accomplish sales goals.

Highlights of your role

  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement a strategy that increases brand awareness, preference, and market share for new products. 

  • Prospect and develop new business by building strong, positive relationships with architects, builders, and smart home integrators. 

  • Provide educational opportunities for channel partners through product, application, and installation trainings and plant tours. 

  • Build and maintain a list of key customers by recording interactions within Salesforce. Use data from the platform to monitor progress, market conditions, and trends. 

  • Frequent travel, including overnight stays, is required to support product launches, customer trainings, and tradeshows across multiple regions. 

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $106K-$132K plus annual bonus opportunity targeted at 30% of base salary, if target are met. The bonus plan offers significant upside for over-achievement of goals.

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 

  • Previous experience in the fenestration industry and/or smart home technology is preferred. 

  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record is required. 

Also want to make sure you have

  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications 

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex information to a wide range of audiences
