Job Overview

We are looking for Process Engineer Intern to join us Fall 2025 August through December at Roanoke Marvin. Bring your experience to life at a family-owned and -led company that encourages your passion and wants your ideas. Provide Production lines and other Process Support sub-groups with strategic plans and tactical short-term actions to drive and sustain continuous operational improvements. Provide immediate solutions to daily disruptions encountered by production and other departments in Roanoke.

Highlights of your role

  • Use innovative process engineering and lean methodologies to identify and implement short, intermediate and long-term improvements to manufacturing practices and results.
  • Work to build operational standard work, demonstrating this to improve business performance.
  • Work with Quality, Controls, Equipment Planning and Maintenance functions to build and secure robust processes, assets and ancillary equipment.
  • Define manufacturing practices passionate about making products with improved consistency and fewer disruptions.
  • Assist in capital and facility planning activities.
  • Provide process vision and plans with respect to equipment requirements, use, placement and work flow.
  • Collaborate with CI function to provide time studies, value stream mapping, current state vs. future state assessments, structured problem solving and other CI related actions.

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)

  • High School Diploma/GED required. Credit towards bachelors or higher degree from accredited engineering college or university.
  • Digital Literacy: knowledge in MS Office. Proficient in AutoCAD, and MS Project a plus.
  • Academic knowledge to support the deployment of a mix of automated, semi-automated and hand assembly operations.
  • Familiar with a variety of industrial and maintenance practices.
  • Understanding and knowledge of various lean manufacturing practices.
