Job Overview

Bring your passion for procurement to Marvin! We're looking for a Buyer to join our team to purchase materials used for window manufacturing. This role is crucial in keeping our production running. You'll acquire the appropriate quantity of goods at the negotiated price while meeting Marvin's quality, schedule and performance requirements. You'll also make recommendations on cost reduction, inventory levels, and lot size adjustments.

 

The ideal candidate can read and understand material prints and specifications, quality requirements, and processes. You can also put your strong negotiation skills to use by helping obtain the best price and quality possible. If this sounds like you, apply today. 

Highlights of your role

  • Ensure a continuous supply of quality materials for the production team. 

  • Build strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring partnerships meet quality, pricing and delivery goals. 

  • Manage cost and inventory levels (modifiers and pricing) of assigned materials. 

  • Manage material ramp-up and run-down strategies and tactics, including transition and appropriate stocking levels. 

Salary Range

$21-$25

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)

  • Strong computer skills (especially with MS Office Suite – Outlook, Word, and Excel) 

  • Experience with ISIM preferred 

Also want to make sure you have

  • 2- or 4-year business degree is preferred
