Job Overview

The Specialist, Brand Marketing - Events, supports the Brand team in brand engagement through activities that establish a deeper emotional connection and higher brand affinity in line with stated business goals and objectives. The Specialist is a key organizer of Brand Events across multiple initiatives related to Promotional Materials, Trade Shows, Product Launches and In-Market Events and Activations. The Specialist plays an integral role in supporting and executing the national, regional, and local event strategy. The Specialist supports brand activations by serving as the lead for event communications, administration of budgets, contracts, and event reporting, creating/maintaining activation records, overseeing event/brand activation kits, and maintaining the brand events calendar. In this position, the Specialist will drive projects forward with a positive attitude and strong work ethic, exhibited by through agile actions and collaboration, supporting cross-functional teams from project planning through execution, and demonstrating superior project management, proactive problem solving, and communication skills.

 

This role will support the Brand Team, and broader Marketing unit, ensuring a consistent and compelling experience at all branded touchpoints. The Specialist will be responsible for supporting the strategy, planning, and management of our events for our customers, prospects, sales team, influencers, and employees across the organization. This role is especially collaborative across the Marketing and Sales teams, to create brand activations that provide our attendees and the consumer with an enriched and integrated Marvin experience.

Highlights of your role

Support + Planning:

  • Support execution of integrated multi-channel marketing activities and programs (whether in-person, hybrid, or virtual) in alignment with defined marketing strategies 
  • Help determine and define goals, objectives, and key performance indicators, ensuring they coincide with overarching enterprise strategies and objects and meet or exceed established return on investment
  • Contribute to annual planning by providing input to and in support of program plans and ideas that drive strategies forward
  • Act within a yearly and monthly budget target, partnering closely with the Marketing Manager – Brand to ensure best practices in financial management
  • Aid in and support the development in business cases and rationale to support budgetary spend, assisting various marketing partners in data needed for budget development as it pertains to brand strategy and experience execution
  • Support in the planning and execution of national trade shows and regional events with cross-functional teams, keeping lead generation and customer integration at the forefront

 

Administration + Execution

  • Support a yearly and monthly budget target associated with events, trade shows, partnering closely with the Marketing Manager – Brand and finance team to ensure best practices in financial management
  • Collect performance data to report on experiential effectiveness to the Brand Team and leverage the results to inform what’s working, what’s not, and why, with a focus on improving outcomes
  • Prepare all necessary assets to support the brand experience in-market, including gathering and shipping brand collateral, brand activation kits, lead generation assets, etc.
  • Be on-site to support in-market brand activations (e.g.: events, trade shows), including set up and tear downs, as well as engage with event vendors and attendees
  • Partner with teams to generate necessary campaigns and communications to support and grow brand engagement across channels and throughout the customer journey
  • Administer vendor partner contracts and support deliverables associated with a variety of external partners and activities
  • Provide and present monthly, quarterly, annual – and on-demand – reporting on post event and experience analytics
  • Manage the brand events calendar
  • Manage all relevant event detail documents (budget tracker, production schedule, call sheets, agenda, etc.) for each event, ensuring overall event organization

 

Drive for Results

  • Advocate for and act as voice of brand experience team efforts by sharing insights, documenting best practices and being open to process improvement opportunities
  • Recommend and institute operational changes to increase efficiency and quality and/or decrease costs associated with brand activations
  • Measure ROI to manage effectiveness, oversees analysis and metrics review of national and regional trade shows and event plans to determine what’s working, what’s not, and why, with focus on improving outcomes.
  • Maintain list of platform features/enhancements for future consideration and implementation.

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or a related field is preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of previous marketing experience
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on event and in-market brand activation experience
  • Proven experience in supporting the development and execution of virtual/hybrid events, both hosted and sponsored
  • Ability to work independently and as a team, with a customer-centric mindset - always
  • Meticulous attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a friendly, positive demeanor
  • Proactive in identifying new opportunities and in supporting day to day operations
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong strategic planning skill set
  • Strong understanding of premium brands and how they go to market
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Ability to travel as needed (40%)
