The Product Engineer is responsible to drive and facilitate changes in product to increase functionality, quality, and performance while reducing cost, non-value added materials and processes.

• Drive and facilitate changes in product to increase functionality, quality, and performance while reducing cost, non-value added materials and processes
• Develop test plans that validate product design through functional and performance testing while providing direction to laboratory technicians
• Prepare written reports summarizing theoretical and experimental results
• Coordinate and communicate changes to multiple areas on a regular basis
• Develop 3-D models, 2-D layouts, prototypes, drawings and BOM’s
• Facilitate test equipment maintenance and improvements
• Work on product improvement teams
• Other duties as assigned

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering with two to five years experience with product design
• Proficient personal computer skills: Word, Excel, File Management, and SharePoint.
• Should have experience with AutoCAD and 3-D parametric modeling with Autodesk Inventor preferred
• Must have a high level of communication skills, verbal and written
• Highly motivated, organized, creative, and able to work effectively with team members in a participative environment
• Ability to determine design detail and tolerance budget requirements
• Proven project management skills and creating project plans consisting of responsibilities and development schedule
• Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly for wood components, aluminum extrusions, vinyl extrusions, plastic injection, and glass
• Advanced Degree or Professional certification a plus
