This person will be responsible for programming/operating CNC equipment throughout the plant, utilizing software and tooling for producing Signature products.

Highlights of your role

  • Program in CAM software to allow CNC machines to machine components correctly
  • CNC Machining of complex geometry components in metal, plastic, wood, and composites
  • Program and maintain macros used to run parts on the CNC routers in to ensure ease of operation
  • Work with Engineering and R&D to test products to support design capability of new and improved products/processes
  • Continue to optimize the machining processes on the CNC routers
  • Program orders and templates for production in a timely manner
  • Provide training and support for operators on CNC routers
  • Responsible for part quality and inspection
  • Interact with design engineers and designers on part functionality, advise on the part suitability for machining or printing
  • Responsible for maintaining an inventory of consumable supplies for all equipment
  • Responsible to ensure proper maintenance of all equipment.

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)

  • High school diploma or GED required; 2-year Associates degree in machining or similar Technology related degree; 5+ years of experience in prototyping environment with advanced CNC machine tools
  • Experience with CNC controls and operating programs required
  • Experience with operating and maintaining rapid prototype equipment preferred
  • Working Knowledge of CNC tooling
  • Working knowledge of tools (chop saw, table saw, drill press, etc.) required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) required
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD required
  • Must be willing and able to participate in, and contribute to a team environment and possess self-motivation and be dependable and trustworthy
  • Must have proficient organizational, interpersonal, and multi-tasking abilities
