Job Overview

The Automation Systems Engineer II will research, define and support the development of software and application architectures used for automated manufacturing systems. This position must sit in Fargo, ND. 

 

Highlights of your role

  • Specify, design and document automation system architectures
  • Assist software developers to ensure software, systems and applications meet requirements
  • Deliver project assignments on time
  • Successfully support projects through completion, either independently or within a team
  • Utilize appropriate development tools and version control software for system design documentation
  • Provide excellent customer service to support in-house applications
  • Apply proven communication skills, problem-solving skills and knowledge of best practices to support systems team
  • Maintain software, systems and application architecture documentation

 

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 2-4 years of experience or equivalent education and experience required
  • Experience with manufacturing system technology such as SCADA, MES, OEE and databases preferred
  • Experience programming using Java, C#, Python and T-SQL preferred
  • Willingness and ability to remain current on changes in the development industry through continuing educational activities
  • Ability to travel as required
