Job Overview

This person will be responsible for performing general construction trades work in support of the operational goals of Marvin.

Highlights of your role

  • Possess safe work habits and maintain good housekeeping at all times
  • Self-starter who works well both independently and in team settings
  • Willingness to learn and work in other trade skill areas as needed 
  • Must be detail oriented and able to read prints/drawings
  • Must have a good understanding of the construction processes, how to determine the required tasks and the sequence of those tasks
  • Must be able to select the proper equipment or tool(s) for the job at hand
  • Must be a skilled carpenter with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Must possess or be able to learn skills in welding, sheet metal work,
  • Additional duties include but not limited to rigging, movement and installation of equipment
  • Must flexible and willing to move from job task to job task without hesitation
  • Must be able/willing to attend and learn safety protocols and other tasks as needed to preform job duties.
  • Willingness to be cross trained in multiple departments and job roles.

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and skills
  • The ability to read and understand schematics to build and set up equipment
  • The ability to work well independently with a focus to get things done right
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to understand facility and production equipment processes.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm – Drive for results.
  • Communication and collaboration skills, ability to work cross-functionally

 

Schedule:

Monday - Thursday, 5:00am - 3:30pm, and any required overtime.

Also want to make sure you have

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Prior experience in a craftsman type role a plus
