Job Overview

The Benefits Administrator provides administrative support for all Marvin’s benefits programs including insurance plans, wellness programs, Leaves of Absence, and retirement plans. This position provides support to Marvin’s human resources and payroll teams relating to benefit plan administration.

Highlights of your role

  • Supports maintenance and administration of benefit plan processes and provides resolution for time-sensitive benefits issues (i.e., enrollment/eligibility issues, appeals process, leave of absence inquiries, dependent verification process, letters & form completion, etc.).
  • Interacts with Marvin’s benefits vendors, leave of absence administrator and various other vendors regarding detailed employee issues and acts as liaison between vendors.
  • Review and process monthly billing for all group plans.
  • Manage the administration of benefit plans to include medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA, HSA, Well-being reimbursement, EAP, 401(k) and COBRA; assist with future implementation of new programs.
  • Ensure the accuracy of all benefits enrollment data in all systems to provide vendors and employees with accurate eligibility information; respond to all EDI file error reports and fix issues in a timely manner.
  • Partner with the HR team, Payroll, and Accounting to ensure end-to-end data consistency.
  • Provides customer service support to employees.
  • Assists with the annual open enrollment process.
  • Assists with special projects relating to streamlining administrative processes associated with benefit plan delivery.
  • Assists the benefits team with projects and day to day administration of benefits, as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)

  • Strong technical aptitude
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Excel
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with attention to accuracy
  • Ability to confidentially maintain personal information and understand and respect the nature of sensitive data

Also want to make sure you have

  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience
  • HR or benefits experience preferred
