Job Overview

The Service Operations Specialist, Compliance plays a key role in supporting safe, compliant, and efficient operations across Service Operations markets. Working closely with Operations, Safety, Legal, and other business partners, this role helps ensure regulatory requirements are met while driving consistency, reducing risk, and supporting operational excellence.

Highlights of your role

  • Partner with Service Operations leaders to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations across multiple markets.
  • Manage licensing, certifications, permits, and regulatory requirements that support field operations and business continuity.
  • Lead compliance audits and assessments, identifying opportunities to strengthen processes and mitigate risk.
  • Develop and deliver compliance and safety training that equips employees with the knowledge and tools to succeed.
  • Support key operational programs, including Penske, Motive, and WEX, while driving consistency and operational effectiveness.

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)

  • Experience supporting compliance, operations, safety, risk management, or a related business function.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and influence positive outcomes.
  • The ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Confidence interpreting regulations, identifying risks, and recommending practical business solutions.
  • A proactive mindset and passion for continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence.

Also want to make sure you have

 

  • 3+ years of experience in compliance, operations, safety, project coordination, or a related field.
  • Experience working with audits, licensing, permitting, regulatory requirements, or compliance programs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business systems used for reporting, recordkeeping, and operational support.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound business recommendations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Compliance, Safety, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.

Compensation

$33.00 to $38.00 per hour, based on experience
